Scott Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Laurence Fishburne Take 'The Last Full Measure'

Is Scott Eastwood the next big thing? There certainly does seem to be an effort to build the son of Clint into a superstar with roles in The Longest Ride, Suicide Squad, and Fast 8. Now he's set to headline a film that will see him teamed up with screen veterans Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, and Laurence Fishburne.

The Last Full Measure is written and directed by Todd Robinson (Phantom), and tells the true story of a cover-up investigation conducted by a Pentagon investigator. As he battles the political machine in Washington, he "reluctantly teams with veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic, William Pitsenbarger, who sacrificed his life saving over 60 soldiers ambushed in one of the bloodiest battles in American history – the Vietnam War."

Sounds a lot like Courage Under Fire, and could be the kind of role that propels Eastwood into even greater roles. [Deadline]
