The Magic Returns In New Trailer For 'Now You See Me 2'

$350M may not sound like much when your average Marvel or DC film routinely hits $800M+, but when it's a modestly-sized original work like Now You See Me it's a pretty big deal. The film was a surprising smash a few years ago, and if you recall it was my most anticipated movie at the time based on the cool premise alone. While I had issues with the end result, there was never any doubt in my mind there would be a sequel, and so here we are with Now You See Me 2 and a brand new trailer that conjures up more magic.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Mark Ruffalo are back for more illusionist hijinks, with Lizzy Caplan, Jay Chou, Daniel Radcliffe, and Sanaa Lathan new additions to this second act. So what's the story this time? The Four Horsemen are blackmailed into stealing....something. Oh does it really matter? Expect plenty of disappearing acts, weather-altering gimmicks, sleights of hand, games of chance, and pretty much every trick in the book.

Jon M. Chu is taking over as director and he's already been confirmed to return for a third film. Lionsgate may be trying to build this into a lucrative, long-running franchise similar to Fast & Furious, but it will be a while before we know if it has those kinds of legs. Now You See Me 2 opens June 10th. Check out a new clip featuring Morgan Freeman, as well.
