Paul Thomas Anderson And Daniel Day-Lewis Reteaming On 1950s Fashion World Film

The first time Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis teamed up they took your milkshake with There Will Be Blood, earning eight Academy Award nominations and winning two, including Best Actor. That's the kind of partnership that doesn't stay dormant for long, and now we know the two will get back together for a film tackling the fashion industry.

Variety reports the news of Day-Lewis entering talks for a film set in New York's fashion scene of the 1950s. No other details are available yet but the project will be backed by Megan Ellison's Annaurna Pictures who last worked with Anderson on The Master. Apparently, Day-Lewis has been attached to the film for some time while Anderson finalizes the screenplay and meets with actresses of Eastern European descent for the supporting roles.

The notoriously picky Day-Lewis hasn't starred in a film since 2011's Lincoln, and knowing him he's probably already getting into character.
