Trailer For Brady Corbet's 'The Childhood Of A Leader' With Robert Pattinson And Bérénice Bejo

If you could go back in time and kill Hitler as a child would you do it? It's a favorite question of "What If?" pieces and time travel stories the world over, but is it really so easy to tell if a child's behavior is a sign of potentially cataclysmic evil? Brady Corbet asks that question in his own way in The Childhood of a Leader, the Funny Games actor's directorial debut.

A new trailer for the film has dropped and it features Robert Pattinson, Liam Cunningham, Bérénice Bejo, Stacy Martin, Yolande Moreau, and Tom Sweet in the story of a child in post-WWII France who is a potential sociopath in the making. Here's the synopsis:

A child’s angelic face conceals a budding sociopath in the audacious feature debut from actor Brady Corbet. A powerhouse international cast led by Robert Pattinson and Bérénice Bejo (The Artist) headlines this dark domestic nightmare. Set amidst the turmoil of World War I and its aftermath, it follows the young son of an American diplomat living in France as he learns to manipulate the adults around him-a monstrous coming of age that ominously parallels the rising tide of Fascism in Europe.

I feel like this film is flying way too far under the radar considering its intriguing premise and talented cast. Hopefully that changes by the time it opens on July 22nd.
