With Comic-Con only days away, we already know that Marvel is going to be showing off everything they've got on the big and small screen.While it's easy to get lost in all of the hype surrounding their Hall H panel and upcoming projects like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Doctor Strange, their popular line of Netflix shows will be commanding just as much attention. And today things get off to a powerful start with the debut of the new poster for Luke Cage.
The image will be made available to fans who hit up the Marvel booth on the Comic-Con show floor. Marvel's Chief Creative Officer and all-around awesome artist Joe Quesada designed the poster himself, which goes to show how important the series is to Marvel's top brass.
“There’s always great pressure with superhero posters,” Quesada says. “You’ve got one shot to encapsulate a character with a pose that’s provocative and that you hope will someday be iconic.”
Luke Cage stars Mike Colter as the indestructible Harlem superhero, who was one of the best aspects of Jessica Jones' first season. We shouldn't have anything to worry about from Colter but let's hope they continue to do Cage justice now that he's taking center stage.
Luke Cage hits Netflix on September 30th, so get ready to binge.
