New 'The Magnificent Seven' Trailer Has Denzel Washington Leading A Bunch Of Misfits

While we can definitely say that Westerns have made something of a comeback, it's mainly just because there have been more of them lately. Looking at them, only one has truly been a hit, Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, and we can't even count his follow-up, The Hateful Eight, as a success. So what did 'Django' have going for it? Star power, and that's something Antoine Fuqua and Denzel Washington's remake of The Magnificent Seven has in spades.

A new trailer for the star-studded Western has arrived and it kicks off with a flashy role call of its impressive cast. Washington is joined by Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Martin Sensmeier, with Peter Sarsgaard as the villain plus Haley Bennett as the firecracker who hires the group to save her town. The one-liners are flying faster than bullets, which is exactly what audiences are going to want out of this group.  Here's the official synopsis:

Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

The Magnificent Seven saunters into town on September 23rd. Check out the trailer plus an international version below.
