*SPOILER* 'Suicide Squad' Will Also Include This Justice League Member
What's the most boring way to find out some cool casting news? Press notes, that's how. Screenings are taking place for Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad and in the press notes it was noticed that a certain Scarlet Speedster, the Flash, will be in the film played by Ezra Miller. And while the way we learned about it was pretty lame, it does come with a certain mystery attached to it.
Deadline notes that Miller's scenes were included as part of those reshoots everyone was so worried about. This will be the Flash's second appearance after his cameos in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice went by in a flash (ba dum bum). So what brings him into the story? That much is unknown but maybe in a flashback rounding up some of the captured villains? Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) seems a likely candidate considering he's one of Flash's most prominent foes.
So what's the mystery? Well, it surrounds Ben Affleck's Batman, who is nowhere to be found in the notes despite being glimpsed in multiple trailers. Have his scenes been cut? Or was Affleck not in the suit? There's a good chance the Batman scenes are such that a stuntman made more sense. Or maybe those rumors about Joker donning his own Bat-suit are true?
Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5th.
