Aubrey Plaza And Elizabeth Olsen Lead 'Ingrid Goes West', Salma Hayek Joins 'Beatriz At Dinner'
Here's one comedy team we weren't expecting to ever see. Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen are teaming up on the dark comedy, Ingrid Goes West. Plaza will slip, comfortably no doubt, into the role of an unstable woman obsessed with social media celebrity Taylor Sloane, and decides to drop everything and become part of her life. When she moves to the West Coast to make that happen her behavior becomes increasingly erratic. The film will be co-written and directed by Matt Spicer, who will be working on that remake of The Rocketeer which promises to be controversial.
Salma Hayek, along with Chloe Sevigny, and Jay Duplass are the latest to join John Lithgow, Nina Arianda, and Connie Britton in the indie ensemble, Beatriz at Dinner. It's the latest collaboration between director Miguel Arteta and screenwriter Mike White, who worked together on The Good Girl and Chuck & Buck. The story centers on a holistic practitioner who attends a dinner party at a wealthy client's home when her car breaks down. [Deadline]
