Margot Robbie Is 'Queen Of The Air' In Upcoming Biopic
Undoubtedly, Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn was the breakout character in Suicide Squad, and will almost certainly get some kind of spinoff of her own. But Robbie has plenty of other projects going on, not including the recent 'Legend of Tarzan'. She signed on to star in the psychological drama Bad Monkeys, and now you can add biopic Queen of the Air to her upcoming slate.
While there's no director attached yet, the film will be penned by Cat Vasko based on the book by Dean N. Jensen. Robbie will play renowned trapeze artist and strongwoman Lillian Leitzel, who in the early 1900s was a top performer with the Barnum & Bailey circus. The film will chronicle her career, life, and tragic accidental death in 1931. It will also cover her tumultuous marriage to fellow acrobat Alfredo Codona. Leitzel was the first inductee into the International Circus Hall of Fame.
This sounds fairly early on, so it's unclear where this will fall on Robbie's schedule. Next up for her is Terminal opposite Simon Pegg, and the A.A. Milne biopic Goodbye Christopher Robin. [THR]
