Now that Captain America has relinquished his shield, we'll have to wait and see if Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier picks it up. If so that would be a huge move for Stan to step into the Avengers spotlight, but for now he's joining the star-studded cast of Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky.
For now, the actor has joined the return film by Steven Soderbergh, his first feature since "retiring" a few years ago. Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Daniel Craig, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Seth MacFarlane, Katherine Waterston, and Riley Keough star in the heist movie set against the backdrop of a major NASCAR race. Stan will play a racing champ making a comeback after being away from the sport.
The plan is for the film to be released next year which sounds doable since Soderbergh tends to work fast. [THR]
