Caesar Delivers An Icy Warning In First 'War For The Planet Of The Apes' Teaser

New York Comic-Con kicks off today and promises to bring lots of new footage from some highly anticipated titles. It's almost getting to the point where I may have to start attending. >sigh<  Anyway, one that we're eagerly awaiting is a possible trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes, and 20th Century Fox has offered up a tease with a dire word of warning.

The snowy footage shows Caesar (Andy Serkis) warning humans that "War has begun", and it better because then the title would be a lie. Matt Reeves is once again at the helm after setting the stage with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Rise of the Planet of the Apes seems like so long ago now. Remember James Franco was part of all this?  Anyway, Judy Greer, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Gabriel Chavarria, and more make up the apes and humans who will be engaged in this epic battle. Here's the synopsis:

In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

War for the Planet of the Apes opens July 14th 2017.
