Disney's Live-Action 'Mulan' Gets 2018 Release Date
Let's face it; if Disney made it, animated it, and released it during your childhood years then it's likely to be coming back as a live-action movie. And considering the money they've made reworking their classic library they have every reason to. And now today comes word on when we can see a remake of Mulan on the screen.
Although the hunt for a director is still on, Mulan has been set to open on November 2nd 2018. Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, writers on Rise of the Planet of the Apes, will rewrite the screenplay based on the legend of Hua Mulan. Just like the 1988 animated movie, that story centers on a young girl who poses as a male to take her father's place in the army and go to war, aided by her trusted pet dragon.
There are two big steps that remain. One is finding a director, and the second is landing a young Chinese actress for the lead role. If they cast Scarlett Johansson or Chloe Moretz we riot.
