After scoring a Best Actor nomination for American Sniper, Bradley Cooper is ready to head back to the battlefield. Deadline reports he'll star in Atlantic Wall, a WWII drama that will be directed by Gavin O'Connor from a Black List script by Zach Dean.
Cooper will suit up to play a paratrooper behind enemy lines mere days before D-Day, who is tasked with delivering intelligence vital to the outcome of the war. However he's also compelled to fulfill a promise to protect a murdered ally's young son. O'Connor is coming off the hit Ben Affleck action flick, The Accountant. This year he also directed Natalie Portman in Jane got a Gun and recently signed up to helm a reboot of The Green Hornet.
Next up for Cooper is teaming up with Lady Gaga for his directorial debut, a remake of A Star is Born. After that he'll jump (pun intended) into Atlantic Wall, which will shoot in Normandy in 2018.
