Dwayne Johnson's 'Rampage', Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' Get Release Dates

A pair of big movies with bigger stars have been given release dates in 2018 by Warner Bros.

First up is Rampage, which will open April 20th 2018 and stars Dwayne Johnson in the adaptation of the classic coin-op video game from the 1980s. While we don't know what exactly the plot will be, we can assume it will have something to do with the game which had players controlling three giant monsters destroying city buildings: George the ape, Lizzy the lizard, and Ralph the werewolf. The film reunites Johnson with San Andreas and Journey 2 director, Brad Peyton, and writer Carlton Cuse.

That will be followed on September 28th 2018 by Bradley Cooper's remake of A Star is Born. He'll be starring in and making his directorial debut on the musical, joined by Lady Gaga in the role previously made famous by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. The story is a familiar one, following an aspiring music star and the washed-up former icon who becomes her mentor. While Gaga has been an award-winning presence on American Horror Story for a couple of years, this will be her first leading role in a feature film, and of course she'll be providing the music herself.  THR reports that Ray Liotta has entered talks to join the film although his role isn't known.
