While Dan Fogelman is enjoying some of the best small-screen reviews of his career for This Is Us, he's also keeping his film career going strong. The Danny Collins director has found a big time star for his follow-up, Life Itself, and it's none other than Oscar Isaac.
Isaac will lead the drama which sounds like pure Fogelman. Basically it tells a multi-generational story in which every character around the world, from New York to Spain, is somehow connected. How that plays out will be interesting to see, but this sounds like the beginnings of an ensemble piece and Isaac is a pretty good place to start.
Fogelman will begin filming on that in the spring, so we should be hearing about some other casting soon. [Deadline]
