After 30 Years Billy Dee Williams Finally Gets To Be Two-Face
Way back in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman movie, Billy Dee Williams put down his can of Colt 45 to play D.A. Harvey Dent. If you know anything about Batman lore, or saw Christopher Nolan's Bat-trilogy, you know Dent eventually becomes the split personality king known as Two-Face. Well, Williams was supposed to play the villain in a sequel, but none of that ever happened. Instead we got Tommy Lee Jones in the unfortunate Joel Schumacher-directed Batman Forever. ::shudder::
But now 28 years later Williams will finally get his shot. The Lego Batman Movie director Chris McKay revealed to a fan on Twitter that Williams is indeed voicing Lego Two-Face, correcting a wrong that should have been corrected long ago. Boom.
It probably won't be a huge role since Zach Galifianakis is voicing the main villain, the Joker, but even a cameo will be worth listening out for. Williams joins Will Arnett as the only Batman capable of making us laugh, Michael Cera as Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, and Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. The Lego Batman Movie opens February 10th 2017.
