If you saw Netflix's hip-hop drama series The Get Down then hopefully you were as taken with star Justice Smith as I was. The young actor wrested control of the series away from the more flashy (and overrated) performance by Shameik Moore, and showed a ton of potential to be a bigger star. Well now he's getting his shot to do just that by joining the cast of Jurassic World 2.
Smith joins the returning Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B.D. Wong (probably), and newcomers Toby Jones and Rafe Spall in the sequel to 2015's blockbuster dino-smash. As for his role, that much remains unclear but the dinosaurs will be looking for all kinds of things to snack on and he might fit the bill.
One prominent player from the previous movie that won't be returning, sadly in my opinion, is the stiletto heels Howard's Claire character had to run around in. Sure it was absurd and the fans tore it apart but it made sense for Claire, who didn't go in to work expecting to be running away from dinosaurs. Writer/producer Colin Trevorrow isn't having it for the sequel, though, teasing that Claire will be rockin' more appropriate footwear.
