Laurence Fishburne Joins 'Beast Of Burden', Nick Robinson Leads 'Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda'
Between Black-ish, John Wick 2, and Richard Linklater's Last Flag Flying, Laurence Fishburne is busier than ever. Yet somehow he's found time to add Beast of Burden to his list of upcoming projects, joining Daniel Radcliffe and fellow new addition, Grace Gummer. Swedish director Jesper Ganslandt makes his English-language debut on the film that stars Radcliffe as a pilot trying to avoid the DEA, a dangerous Cartel and other entanglements as he runs drugs across the border. Fishburne will play a cartel handler working with Radcliffe, while Gummer is the pilot's wife. [THR]
Jurassic World and The Kings of Summer star Nick Robinson is in talks to lead Greg Berlanti's adaptation of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. The Arrowverse guru has been attached to direct it for a couple of months now, adding to his crowded slate of projects. Becky Albertalli's novel centers on a gay teen whose sexual orientation is discovered by the class clown who proceeds to blackmail him. He must not only find a way to come out on his own terms, but to also protect the identity of the boy he's been emailing but has never met. [THR]
