'Cowboy Bebop' Is Becoming A Live-Action TV Series

Hey, what'd you think of that live-action Cowboy Bebop movie? The one with Keanu Reeves in it? You don't think anything about it because it never happened, although it was pretty far along in pre-production back around 2010. Since then Hollywood has failed multiple times to get anime/manga projects over with American audiences, but maybe giving it another try on the small screen is the ticket?

A live-action Cowboy Bebop is in the works, and before you start to howl about one of the most influential anime being brought to the West, just know that the original studio behind the series is involved here, too. That's a good thing, plus it has the talents of superstar writer Christopher Yost, who wrote a little film called Logan that people seem to like. He also penned Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and wrote a bunch of X-Men comics, co-creating X-23 in the process.

So let's see what happens. The premise is pretty simple although nothing stays that way for long. It's set in the future, 2071, and follows a team of outlaw bounty hunters led by Spike Spiegel, traveling the universe in their ship, the Bebop.
