Unquestionably the highlight of yesterday's Marvel panel here at Comic-Con was the footage from Avengers: Infinity War, with all of its world-shattering consequences, defeated heroes, bearded Captain America's, and more. But if I'm being completely honest, there was an equal amount of energy and excitement for Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok, both dropping a ton of new footage that kicked mucho ass.
Marvel ended the night by giving away new posters for both films, if you had the time to walk half a mile to go pick it up (I didn't). But you can check 'em out below, anyway. The Thor poster shows off the vibrant color palette, which I think is perhaps the biggest departure from the drab earlier movies, almost as much as the serious uptick in humor. The Black Panther image once again shows the character's regal nature, sure to be a major factor in the film. While he may get his special panther powers from a magical herb, it comes as much from the history and lineage of the Wakandan people.
Thor: Ragnarok opens November 3rd, Black Panther on February 16th 2018.
