Tiffany Haddish is a star definitely on the rise thanks to her stealing every single scene in the $100M hit, Girls Trip. At the time I said she gave a performance that echoed Kevin Hart's in Think Like A Man; it was so funny and stood so far apart from everyone else that she couldn't be ignored. And whaddaya know? Now she's starring alongside Kevin Hart in the action-comedy, Night School.
The film comes from super-producer Will Packer and will be a reunion with Girls Trip director, Malcolm D. Lee. Hart came up with the story and co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors), that follows a bunch of misfits who are forced to attend night school in preparation for the GED, which is considered a longshot for them.
Up next for Haddish is her first standup special, then a role in the TBS comedy series, The Last O.G. starring Tracy Morgan. [THR]
