Milla Jojovich Joins 'Hellboy' Reboot As The Blood Queen

When Milla Jojovich's Resident Evil franchise came to a close earlier this year (just before a reboot was announced, which she's salty about), it took away the one movie she had been most closely associated with for her career. A good way to make up for it? Join another franchise just as it's launching, and that's what Jojovich is doing by taking the villain role in the upcoming Hellboy reboot.

Jojovich will take on the role of the Blood Queen in the film directed by Neil Marshall and starring David Harbour as Hellboy. Ian McShane recently joined the crew as Hellboy's adoptive father, Professor Broom, so the cast is shaping up nicely and quickly. The film was originally titled "Rise of the Blood Queen", so expect Jojovich to be a total badass with a sizable role.

I think this is a pretty savvy move. Hellboy needs to win over fans still disappointed by the loss of Guillermo Del Toro and Ron Perlman, so they've been casting the film with popular genre favorites like Jojovich and McShane.
