Some Good News And Bad News For 'Stranger Things' Fans

When Stranger Things first hit Netflix and became a surprise smash, it was all but guaranteed to get a second season. And that will be coming up shortly this October just in time for Halloween, perfect for all of the creepiness that will be infecting the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. Before we get to see how things will get turned upside down, the Duffer Brothers have confirmed some news that will be a mixed bad to the show's fans.

First up, the Duffers revealed to Vulture that Stranger Things has already been renewed for a third season. Great! So what's the bad news? They say the show "will be a four-season thing and then out", so as to not overstay their welcome. Probably a smart idea. Just how many times can these kids go through a bunch of weird crap before everybody just moves away?

Even Matt Duffer agrees, saying  “We just have to keep adjusting the story. Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

This is probably for the best, anyway. Now we don't have to worry about seeing young stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp pushing adulthood. Nobody wants that. Awkward adolescence, though? Sure thing.

The second season of Stranger Things hits Netflix on October 27th.
