Teaser For Newly-Revealed 'Hatchet' Reboot, 'Victor Crowley'
I was surprised by the amount of buzz from last night when Hatchet director Adam Green revealed his top secret reboot, Victor Crowley. He didn't just reveal it, he actually showed the completed film to a stunned crowd at Hollywood's Arclight Cinema attending a Hatchet 10th anniversary celebration.
The film returns Kane Hodder back into the role of Crowley, joined by returning star and sole survivor of the previous movies, Parry Shen. The story takes place ten years after Hatchet 3, and finds the infamous slasher resurrected to cause more bloody mayhem.
In 2007, forty-nine people were brutally torn to pieces in Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp. Over the past decade, lone survivor Andrew Yong's claims that local legend Victor Crowley was responsible for the horrific massacre have been met with great controversy, but when a twist of fate puts him back at the scene of the tragedy, Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and Yong must face the bloodthirsty ghost from his past.
Green is back to write and direct, with Brian Quinn (Impractical Jokers), Laura Ortiz (The Hills Have Eyes), and Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie) co-starring. Victor Crowley hits theaters in October as part of Dark Sky Films'"Victor Crowley Road Show", wherein writer/director Adam Green (and other cast) will travel with and introduce the film at special one-night screening events across America. Internationally, the film is slated to bow at festivals worldwide.
