Ok, now it's just getting ridiculous. Yesterday it was Julia Stiles looking for a starring role in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4. Today, it's Anne Hathaway(Bride Wars, Ella Enchanted). Deadline.com is reporting that producers for the big budget superhero flick are seriously pushing to get Anne Hathaway for "a starring role". Whether or not that role is as Spidey villain/girlfriend/lust object the Black Cat is anyone's guess. Considering that all of the actresses named are of a similar age and "look"(although Hathaway has dark hair she's been blond before) it's likely they are all up for the same part.
I got an idea. Let's get a nice big ring, fill it with cream corn, and let all of these ladies duke it out until only one is left standing. You'd think we were talking about a remake of Casablanca or something, not the 4th installment of a superhero franchise coming off it's worst film.
