1st photos from Kevin Smith's Red State

While part of me yearns for Kevin Smith to shoot for a sequel to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, I have to admit that perhaps it's time to see what else he has to offer. We've gotten glimpses of his work outside of his "typical" style with stuff like Jersey Girl and I guess you can throw Cop Out in there too, but nothing quite like what his religiously themed horror Red State has to offer.  The film, which follows a bunch of misfit teens who happen upon an extreme fundamentalist in the heart of middle America, just recently got accepted in Sundance and now we've got four fresh new still shots of it from their website. So what do you think? Could Red State mark the turning point in the fan favorite filmmaker's career?
