1. 2012
2. The Core
3. Armageddon
4. Volcano
5. Chain Reaction
6. The 6th Day
7. What the #$*! Do We Know? (2004)
They really should've put all of Roland Emmerich's filmography at the top of the list, but I understand their desire to be specific in just how bad 2012 is. Funny thing about Armageddon is that I distinctly remember NASA having a pretty heavy hand in the production of that flick. Seems they've soured on it ever since. I'm happy they chose Volcano over one of my favorite movies, Dante's Peak. When I first saw What the #$*! Do We Know? I just assumed I was too stupid to understand what all these nerdy morons were babbling about. Turns out they didn't know either, so I don't feel so bad.
And now the most plausible...
1. Gattaca
2. Contact
3. Metropolis
4. The Day the Earth Stood Still
5. Woman in the Moon
6. The Thing from Another World
7. Jurassic Park
All solid movies that are at least in some way grounded in actual science and use it to explore the possible advancement of our culture. Good stuff, NASA.
