I for one was blown away by how cool Andrew Garfield looked in the first image of him as Spider-Man. I'm also going to agree with the consensus opinion that the scene, which shows Peter Parker battered and looking rather depressed, likely is the classic image of him after he discovers that the criminal he lets go free has just killed his beloved Uncle Ben. If you look closely at the image, though, you can see what appears to be a device of some sort on his wrists. Web shooters? Web shooters. Emma Stone basically confirms it to MTV...
In case you couldn't see the video, Stone was asked straight up about whether or not Spidey would be employing some sort of device to shoot his webbing, and she reluctantly replied "It's a device".
In Sam Raimi's Spider-Man flicks, they had Spidey employing organic webbing which shot out of his wrists. Looks like Marc Webb is going back to the Spidey basics for his relaunch.
