Fleshbags featured in new clip from Transformers: Dark of the Moon

In the run up to the July 1st release of Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon we've seen plenty of new robots; lots of intense action; and too much of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looking like a deer in headlights. What we haven't seen is how the Victoria's Secret model acts. Nor have we seen any of Patrick Dempsey, who we know at some point is going to come to blows with Shia Labeouf's Sam Witwicky, probably over Huntington-Whiteley.

In this new clip from the film we get so little action even pacifists are screaming for blood. But we also get to see what McDreamy and RHW bring to the table. Not a hell of a lot, if you ask me.

Maybe I'm not giving any of these folks enough credit. This is clearly just an introductory scene, meant to establish the eventual tension between Labeouf and Dempsey. Considering the extreme lack of depth to the last flick, it is sorta nice that a subplot is getting worked a little bit. Still a part of me could only keep thinking how long it'll be before that entire room comes alive with freshly juiced Transformers.

But what about RHW? Does this clip show us anything of what she has to offer? Not really. I'm no fan of Megan Fox, but she did have a role to play in these Transformers movies and she was a big part of their success. I always felt like her character was the tough one, while Shia was just this dude caught up in the mix. I don't think being the center of attention is a good look for him. We'll see how it goes in just a few weeks.
