Mark Wahlberg and Jonah Hill in early talks for action-comedy, Good Time Gang
I have a hard time accepting Jonah Hill as anything other than your typical sex-obsessed comedy sidekick, but it's something I'm going to have to get used to. He'll be wearing his action shoes in the upcoming remake of 21 Jump Street, although you have to expect it'll lean more heavily towards jokes than shoot outs. However, another film he's got lined up will be just the opposite, and he'll get to partner up with somebody who is no stranger to gun fights and car chases.
The LA Times reports that Hill isin very early talks to join the battle-tested Mark Wahlberg in Good Time Gang, an action comedy from writer Max Landis(son of director John Landis). Described as a "new spin" on the Lethal Weapon formula, Hill and Wahlberg will play two fun loving mercenaries who take on a serious case involving a terrorist, only to discover that one of them is related to the target.
Wahlberg struck the perfect balance of violence and humor in The Other Guys last year, no easy feat considering he had Will Ferrell as a partner. Talks are still very early at this point, so we'll have to wait and see if Wahlberg and Hill can find that same magic.
