Clint Eastwood may return to the screen in Trouble With the Curve
We don't get to see Clint Eastwood in front of the camera anymore. He's only starred in three movies over the last decade, with the last one in 2008's Gran Torino where he got to put on his Dirty Harry hat and scare off a bunch of young punks. Instead he's been content behind the camera, where you can generally count any of his directorial efforts to make a little noise at the Oscars. His latest, J. Edgar, is right around the corner, and his remake of A Star is Born is on baby hiatus(thanks Jay-Z!), so what's the old guy to do in the mean time? Eh, make a baseball movie. Why not?
Eastwood may star in Trouble with the Curve, from first-time director(and Eastwood's producing partner) Robert Larenz. The role sounds uniquely fitting for the grizzled veteran, playing an old baseball scout who is slowly going blind, and goes off on one last trip with his daughter to check out a prospect. The script is by Randy Brown, with the project set up over at Warner Brothers.
According to ThePlaylist the deal isn't done yet, but once it is the search can begin for an actress to play his daughter.
Eastwood's J. Edgar will hit theaters on November 11th.
