Michael Angarano will hook up with Julianne Moore in The English Teacher
He's growing up right before our eyes. Michael Angarano(Sky High, Lords of Dogtown) has been around longer than people think, getting his start in horrible movies like For Richer or Poorer and Music of the Heart(sorry it sucks), before getting what was probably his big break as a recurring character on Will & Grace. Since then he's become a more than capable leading man, and one that has been pretty darn lucky when it comes to the actresses he gets to score with one screen. In the vastly underrated Snow Angels he's in the midst of young love with Olivia Thirlby, and only recently he played a younger man infatuated with Uma Thurman in Ceremony. Now he'll get a chance to do the same with the great Julianne Moore as part of The English Teacher.
Variety has the story, reporting that Angarano has joined the indie comedy, featuring Moore as an english teacher who begins falling in love with a former student(Angarano) returned home after failing as a playwright in New York. Nathan Lane co-stars, with Craig Zisk directing.
It's been a busy year for Angarano already. He just finished wrapping The Brass Teapot, which co-stars Juno Temple. He also had a big part in Kevin Smith's horror, Red State, and earlier this year he was featured in The Art of Getting By starring Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts. Next on his list is the revenge thriller, Haywire, from director Steven Soderbergh, which will hit theaters in January.
