While Illumination directors Chris Renaud is hard at work on an adaptation of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax, he and co-director Pierre Coffin haven't forgotten about last year's hit, Despicable Me. After grossing over $540M worldwide, it didn't take long for a sequel to be announced, with a release date set for July 3rd 2013. To whet our appetites a little they've already released a promo poster, promising us even more of the cute little yellow minions.
No word on the plot, but obviously Steve Carell will be returning as Gru, and hopefully Russell Brand as the elderly Dr. Nefario!
