After a summer full of pretty standard superhero fare, the entire genre could use a swift kick in the gonads. And I'm not talking about turning to overrated indie junk like Super. Comic book movies need to get a little twisted. Enter VS(Versus)a new film which blends the world of capes and super powers with the gruesome Saw movies.
Directed by Jason Trost, the story centers around a group of superheroes who are put through a series of grueling tests by a sadistic villain to save the lives of innocent civilians. James Remar(Dexter), Lucas Till(X-men: First Class), Sean Whalen, Sophie Merkley co-star. Brian Taylor, one of the directors of Crank, also makes an appearance.
The film will premier at the Toronto After Dark fest later this month, so let's hope it generates enough buzz to make it's way stateside. Check out the trailer for VS below...[Shocktilyoudrop]
