Abigail Spencer joins Joss Whedon scripted and produced 'In Your Eyes'
After starring on All My Children for a couple of years and making a number of TV guest appearances, Abigail Spencer is making some pretty big moves on the silver screen. After a minor role in last summer's unfortunate Cowboys & Aliens, she'll be seen next in This Means War, starring Tom Hardy, Chris Pine, and Reese Witherspoon. Good company to be in, but it pales in comparison to who she'll be eating lunch with on the set of Oz: The Great And Powerful, such as James Franco, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams.
Over the weekend, Spencer excitedly revealed her next film, and it should be another benchmark of her budding career. She's landed a role in the Joss Whedon scripted and produced In Your Eyes, which we first learned about back in November. Directed by Brin Hill, the film is described as a "metaphysical love story about two seemingly polar opposites who are deeply connected in ways neither could have ever imagined."
Filming is set to begin next month, and is expected to shoot over a couple of weeks, similar to Whedon's upcoming Much Ado About Nothing, which he shot while still doing work on The Avengers. If it's kicking off that fast, we should be hearing more casting news shortly. [THR]
