Idris Elba confirms he'll be back as Heimdall in 'Thor 2'
Maybe Idris Elba was just in the mood to piss some racists off today? While talking to MTV, the newly crowned Golden Globe winner confirmed he'll be back as Heimdall in Thor 2, where it's assumed he'll still be standing guard of the Rainbow Bridge. If you'll recall, there was a small uproar by some idiots who raised a fuss that a *gasp* black dude was playing a Norse god, because...y'know, those comic book adaptations really should be sticklers for racial consistency. So stupid. Would they be happier if he had a blond wig?
Unfortunately for them, Elba proved to be mighty superior in the role, and Heimdall one of the best parts of the film. Hopefully we'll get to see him kick a little more frost giant ass than he did last time.
Alan Taylor(Game of Thrones) is the new director on board, and Elba admitted he hasn't spoken to him yet. Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, and Jaime Alexander are all confirmed to return for the sequel, expected to land in theaters on November 15th 2013.
