Only a few days after receiving the beautiful, long awaited(like thirty years!) first trailer for On the Road, we're now being treated a new poster highlighting part of the amazing supporting cast. Like most of Jack Kerouac's stories, many of the characters are analogues of the real people who have been major players in his life. His Beat Generation peers are nearly always represented, and in On the Road the character of Old Bull Lee is based on his longtime friend and renowned author, William S. Burroughs. In the film he's played by Viggo Mortensen, but we only see him briefly in the trailer.
A number of Kerouac's colleagues feature in the film under different names, such as Tom Sturridge as Allen Ginsberg, and Amy Adams as Joan Vollmer. So there's a good chance we'll see more character posters featuring them.
On the Road was directed by Walter Salles and stars Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, Steve Buscemi, Alice Braga, and Terrence Howard.
