Could this be the second part of a really awful, very expensive year for Taylor Kitsch? John Carter has turned out to be a massive bomb, and the Transformers knock off that is Battleship could be even worse. At least that's what some are saying, although it's the film's similarity to Michael Bay's noisy, alien robot trilogy that will likely carry it to some success. Plus, it has Liam Neeson barking orders to a bunch of terrified crewman, and if there's anything audiences will pay for it's to see Neeson taking charge and kicking some butt.
The third trailer for Battleship has been released, and it's the most action packed of the bunch so far. Steering away from Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, and Rihanna(!!) for the most part, the focus is clearly on displaying the metallic drones and destructive prowess of the alien invaders. This looks like simple, understandable, popcorn entertainment. Stuff blow up, go "Boom".
