Warner Brothers confirms Liam Neeson to return for 'The Dark Knight Rises'
Liam Neeson pretty much makes every movie better(and more profitable), so if you have the chance to bring him back, why in the hell wouldn't you? For months we've kinda had the idea that The Dark Knight Rises would deal in some way with the continuing legacy of Ra's Al Ghul, the villain played by Neeson in Batman Begins. Either he'd come back, or his daughter, Talia(the rumored character of Marion Cotillard) would come seeking revenge against Batman(Christian Bale). With Neeson was rumored to have shot a brief scene in the trilogy's final chapter, there hasn't been any firm confirmation. Until now, that is.
In the production notes for Wrath of the Titans, which Neeson stars in as Zeus, Warner Brothers reveals that he will indeed be back for The Dark Knight Rises....
"Neeson next appears in Peter Berg's actioner "Battleship," and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated action thriller "The Dark Knight Rises." Earlier this year, he starred in Joe Carnahan's thriller "The Grey," which topped the box office in its opening weekend. His recent film credits also include Jaume Collet-Serra's thriller "Unknown"; Paul Haggis' thriller "The Next Three Days"; the actioner "The A- Team"; the mythological epic "Clash of the Titans"; and the thriller "Taken," as well as the indie films "Chloe," directed by Atom Egoyan, and "After.Life."
The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20th where it will batarang the hell out of every other movie in its path.
