Early promo image for 'The Muppets' sequel

Clearly, Disney is still very high on The Muppets. Last year's revival of Jim Henson's subversive puppet comedy troupe proved to not only be a hit with die hards, but thrust Kermit and the rest of the gang into the spotlight for the first time in years. A lot of this was due to the enthusiasm of star Jason Segel, who developed the project along with writer Nicholas Stoller and director James Bobin.

With Segel departing to pursue other projects, some of the steam has been taken out of the upcoming sequel. That doesn't appear to have slowed Disney down in the least, as they've released an early promo image hyping the upcoming film's eventual release. It's not much, basically just a pair of Muppet fingers against the earlier logo, but it shows Disney still considers the franchise a priority. We don't know much about what the story will entail, except that Walter will be back without his human buddy, Gary. Stoller and Bobin are expected to return.
