Jennifer Connelly and Saoirse Ronan confirmed for Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah'

A couple of weeks ago we learned that Jennifer Connelly and Saoirse Ronan were circling roles in Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic, Noah. Connelly appeared to be further along, with Ronan merely on the director's radar. Just mere days after locking up Russell Crowe for the title role, Aronofsky now has his ladies, as well.

Unfortunately we still haven't heard anything about Liam Neeson, who was rumored to be up for the part of the "villain" of the story. That would have made for a hell of a face-off. Connelly and Ronan's roles aren't confirmed, although the former seems like a shoe-in to play Noah's wife, with the latter as one of his son's wives. In the Bible, Noah saved his family and a number of animal's from an incredible flood sent by God who was in a bad mood that day or something.

The massive, $125M+ production goes into action this summer, and will hit theaters on March 28th 2014. [THR]
