Sure Shots: Michael Sheen; Todd Phillips; Willem Dafoe

* With Paul Rudd recently replacing Owen Wilson in the upcoming adaptation of Jean Hanff Korelitz's novel, Admission, THR reports that Michael Sheen is the latest to join the cast. Jay and Mark Duplass will adapt Mule, Tony D'Souza's book about a couple who turn to trafficking weed they are hit by a sudden financial crisis. Phillips will direct, making this likely his next project after The Hangover Part III. [Deadline]

* Out of the Furnace may be shooting right now in Braddock, PA, but that doesn't mean Scott Cooper(Crazy Heart) can't stop to make the already impressive project even more awesome. Willem Dafoe is the latest to join the cast, which already features Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, Zoe Saldana, Forest Whitaker, and Sam Shepard. Bale plays a man living in the downtrodden Rust Belt, who gets out of prison seeking revenge against the deadly crime ring that harmed his brother(Affleck).
