'The End of the World' set photos feature Rihanna, Paul Rudd, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Emma Watson and more
When Emma Watson first signed up to be a part of Seth Rogen's co-directorial debut, The End of the World, it was clear this was going to be her biggest career move yet because it would get her firmly in bed with the entire Judd Apatow family. Not literally, of course, but she would be trading comedic jabs with an insane ensemble that includes (deep breath) James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Jason Segel, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride, Paul Rudd, David Krumholtz, and Rihanna. All playing themselves, trapped in Franco's home while the apocalypse takes place outside. It's still a little odd thinking of her being amongst that group, and even weirder to see it in the first handful of set photos from the film.
In them, you can see pretty much everybody that's in the movie, freaking out over something taking place in the distance. I'd kill to know what it is they're all looking at, but we'll have to wait until June 14th of next year to find out. The film is based on Jay and Seth vs. Apocalypse, the short film Rogen and Baruchel dreamed up a few years ago. Evan Goldberg is co-directing what looks like it could be the comedy event of 2013. With all these pieces together in one place, how could it not? The one photo that really grabs my attention is the one with Cera and Rihanna looking awfully chummy. I hope that's in character stuff. Then again, Cera isn't likely to tenderize her face anytime soon, so maybe it would be a step up for her?
