"Face your future" in the new poster for Rian Johnson's 'Looper'

Y'know, Looper won't be the first time Bruce Willis will play a guy who meets a younger version of himself thanks to some sort of weird time travel wackiness. In fact, it should be old hat for him at this point. Twelve years ago he faced the same situation in Disney's hit family comedy, The Kid, only there was considerably less violence and wonky timestream mechanics. No Joseph Gordon-Levitt, either. The titular kid was instead played by Spencer Breslin, who is probably best known at this point for being Abigail's older bro.

A new poster for Rian Johnson's Looper has been released, giving us a glimpse at the time machine that is central to the story. There also appears to be some numbers and figures written on the inside door, which I'm sure hold some sort of clue as to what's really going on. The story takes place in a world where time travel has been perfected, but is used illegally by the mob, who send their targets back in time to the present where they can be killed without suspicion. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a "looper", one of the men who does the actual dirty work, thus "closing the loop" on his victim. He gets the shock of his life when he discovers that his next assignment is a future of himself, played by Willis. Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels co-star.

Looper hits theaters on September 28th, and I can't wait!
