So when everybody is complaining that your star, Tom Cruise, is too much of a hobbit to play the barrel-chested, 6 foot 5 inch Jack Reacher, what's the best way to make people forget it? Just plow ahead and let Cruise do what he does best, which is kick a little ass. It's a little hard to judge the dialogue in this trailer for Jack Reacher, as it's totally in Russian, but Cruise looks to be in top form, and that's enough.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie(The Way of the Gun), the film is an adaption of Lee Child's novel, One Shot, and has the titular ex-military officer turned drifter investigating a series of murders committed by a sniper. Rosamund Pike, Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, and Werner Herzog co-star.
Jack Reacher is expected to open on December 21st. We'll update the trailer with an English one as soon as it's released. There's one that was floating around with English subtitles but it got yanked.
