Sure Shots: Wes Anderson; 'Ghostbusters 3'; 'Grown Ups 2'

 * Wes Anderson's quirky style has never been more popular than it is right now, with Moonrise Kingdom still burning up the box office in limited release. Quick to follow up on the success, Anderson has been eagerly discussing his untitled follow-up, and he's aiming for the stars with who he wants to star. The film will be an ensemble, as usual, but he's looking to new faces Jude Law, Johnny Depp, and Angela Lansbury(Murder She Wrote) to be a part of it. Anderson's also calling on his familiar crew, with Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe approached. The script is apparently completed, but we don't know much beyond that.  Sounds pretty great already, though!! Let's hope he can keep the streak going. [Twitch]

* Breaking my Ghostbusters 3 news embargo because there's an update of some actual significance. The one thing that's been holding the long in development film from happening has been Bill Murray's apparent disdain for the script, and since he has veto power over the sequel, if he doesn't dig it then nothing's going to happen. In an effort to move things along, Sony has hired Tropic Thunder and Men in Black III scribe, Etan Cohen, to rewrite the script. Will it make a difference? Eh, I don't think so. Murray seems dead set on this movie never happening, and I'm right there with him. [Variety]

* I totally forgot Arnold Schwarzenegger had produced little baby Terminators, and one of them has now come of age and wants to follow in daddy's thespian shoes. Patrick Schwarzenegger has joined the cast of Grown Ups 2, playing a fratboy buddy of Taylor Lautner's. Seriously. They'll be part of the gang squaring off against Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, and David Spade.  I've never seen Schwarzenegger the Younger in action before, but he's got a part in Writers opposite Lily Collins and Kristen Bell. Grown Ups 2 is currently filming, set for release on July 12th 2013. [THR]
