Ok, this is more like it. Those who saw the uneventful first clip from Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers were probably shocked by how normal it all seemed. Well, throw that out the window, because the latest one is probably more in line with what you'd expect from the guy who gave us Trash Humpers.
Rockin' a mean set of cornrows and a pseudo-urban twang that makes him sound like an extra from Havoc, James Franco rather bombastically shows off his guns, gear, and gold bullets while Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Benson giggle like drugged-out school girls. Oh no, wait...someone's passed out on the bed. Not sure which girl it is. Doesn't really matter. Anyway, this should appease those who were worried Korine had gone a little soft.
The film will be making its debut in Venice, which is where this clip emanates from, before heading to Toronto. There's still no distribution deal in place but we'll likely see Spring Breakers some time next year. I'm praying for a Sundance appearance.
