Avengers Assemble! The folks over at Marvel are a smart bunch. They know they've found the winning formula, and that success has led to The Avengers sucking over $1B out of wallets this summer, with untold riches to come when the film hits DVD next month. So with the plan already in place leading up to the sequel, Marvel is doing the right thing and simply sticking to the script.
The Avengers sequel will storm theaters on May 1st 2015, fitting Marvel's pattern of releasing two superhero flicks a year. Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World hit next year, with Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014. At this point, we're probably looking at Ant-Man coming out some time in early 2015. And hey, Joss Whedon will be back, too, so there's another reason to get excited.
Ok, so now that that's resolved, it's time to start speculating new additions to the team. Doctor Strange? Giant-Man? Maybe even Daredevil now that he's soon to be back under the Marvel umbrella?
