New photos from Dreamworks Animation's prehistoric comedy, 'The Croods'

With Disney's Wreck-It-Ralph and a pair of Pixar flicks coming our way in the next few months, it's been tough sledding for any other animated feature to get any sort of attention. Such has been the case with Dreamworks' latest, The Croods, a prehistoric comedy with a great voice cast and the talented Chris Sanders(How to Train Your Dragon) as director.

EW has some new photos from the film, which give us an introduction to the lovable caveman family at the heart of the story. Nicolas Cage voices Grug, the overprotective patriarch of the family; Catherine Keener is Ugga, his wife; Emma Stone voices their troublesome teenage daughter, Eep; Cloris Leachman as Gran, considered ancient at the ripe old age of 45; and Clarke Duke voices Thunk, the oafish and clumsy other child. Evolution comes in the form of the hunky nomad, Guy(voiced by Ryan Reynolds), who Eep falls head over heels for.

The Croods opens in 3D on March 22nd 2013. Check out the photos below....
