New poster for 'Silver Linings Playbook' with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence

We're going to be seeing a lot of Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence on screen together over the coming months. The two will be starring together next year in Susanne Bier's Depression-era drama, Serena, which sounds like it has a tinge of There Will Be Blood to it. But before that they'll star in David O. Russell's feel good dramedy, Silver Linings Playbook, and now we're getting our first look at a pretty cool poster.

Based on Matthew Quick's novel, Cooper plays Pat, a former history teacher released from a mental institution into the care of his mother(Jacki Weaver) and sets out on a path to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get complicated when he becomes fast friends with a fast-talking widow(Jennifer Lawrence) with problems of her own. Robert De Niro plays Cooper's father, with Chris Tucker, Julia Stiles, and Shea Wigham making for a solid supporting cast. The poster is simple, but it highlights the film's two big draws, and I dig the actual playbook in the middle of it.  The trailer from last June was certainly promising, and struck a vibe similar to Russell's Flirting with Disaster.

Silver Linings Playbook opens on November 21st. [Fandango]
